APLIGRAF is a living, bilayered skin substitute derived from neonatal foreskin. Dr. Ayres has used this product quite successfully on many of his complex wound management patients. Venous leg ulcers greater than 1 month old that have been unresponsive to conventional ulcer therapy, heal much more rapidly with APLIGRAF application. In addition, Diabetic foot ulcers greater than 3 weeks duration that have been unresponsive to conventional off-loading and local wound management respond very well to APLIGRAF.
